A moving interpretation of the Passion in Holy Week in the run-up to Easter.
The evocative concert-show "Miserere | Cantare la Passione," conceived and composed by Carlo Faiello and featuring Isa Danieli, returns.
This work, part of the "Passio" series, will be performed on two special occasions: Thursday, March 21st, in the church of the Poggioreale prison and Saturday, March 23rd, at the Archconfraternity of the Holy Trinity of the Pilgrims in Naples. Faiello's work, a secular oratorio inspired by the ancient processions of Southern Italy, is based on a series of studies dedicated to the musical repertoire of the Campania oral tradition.
It incorporates songs and liturgies from different Italian regions, creating a sound flow rich in cultural stratifications. The original compositions of the Neapolitan musician further enrich the show.
Carlo Faiello emphasizes the contemporary relevance of the Miserere, telling a universal story of pain and sacrifice that continues to touch the audience's emotional chords. Isa Danieli, starring alongside five outstanding Neapolitan voices, masterfully interprets the musical pieces, conveying the emotion and depth of the theme to the audience.
