The exhibition “Visioni” at the Royal Palace of Caserta offers a unique look at the genius of Luigi Vanvitelli through the works of Luciano D'Inverno and Luciano Romano. This exhibition is part of the celebrations for the 250th anniversary of Vanvitelli's death and is part of the winning program of the Strategia Fotografia competition of the Ministry of Culture. Curated by Gabriella Ibello, the selection of approximately 130 photographs on display transforms the museum space into a true hypertext, offering visitors a multidimensional interpretation of Vanvitelli's work.
The exhibition is curated by Opera Laboratori and occupies the spaces of the Gran Galleria of the Reggia di Caserta, contributing to enriching the cultural offering of the place. While the ground floor will be dedicated to educational activities, a conference room and a new bookshop, the second floor will host temporary exhibitions, with “Visioni” as the first artistic proposal.
Through the works “Attraversamenti” by Luciano D'Inverno and “Genius et Loci. La drammaturgia dello sguardo” by Luciano Romano, the exhibition pays homage to Vanvitelli’s grandiose work of architecture and hydraulic engineering and his influence on modern architectural culture.
The exhibition “Visioni” will be open until July 15th at the Royal Palace of Caserta, on the Museum’s opening days, from 8.30:19.30 to 18.30:2024 with last admission at XNUMX:XNUMX. Access is reserved for holders of various types of Park+Apartments tickets and the ReggiaCard XNUMX subscription, with the exception of free days. A unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the artistic universe of Luigi Vanvitelli through the watchful eye of these two photographers.
