The Civic Museum and contemporary art: the inauguration of Cerciello's exhibition on March 23rd

Contemporary art returns as a protagonist at the Civic Museum of Maddaloni. The cultural institution has always connected, during its forty-year experience, the protection of the historical, artistic and archaeological beauties of the city and the attention to the most vital and interesting ideas coming from the artists of the territory.

It is in this capacity that the inauguration of the exhibition “Ricerca” will take place on Saturday 23 March 2024 at 17:00 pm, the second solo exhibition of the painter Giuseppe Lorenzo Cerciello. The institutional greetings of the mayor of Maddaloni Andrea De Filippo and the councilor for Culture Caterina Ventrone will open the exhibition. The art critic Giorgio Agnisola will introduce the exhibition.

The exhibition will be open to the public from March 23 to April 12, 2024. The public is invited.

The choice to be the first to “baptize” an emerging artist represents for the Civic Museum of Maddaloni not only an honor, but also a challenge aimed at relaunching the cultural institution as a stage for local talents.

The artist

Giuseppe Lorenzo Cerciello is 32 years old and lives in Brusciano, in the province of Naples. He began painting only two years ago. Cerciello didn't pursue an artistic education. He holds a degree in Preventive and Adaptive Physical Activity Sciences and Techniques and currently works in an osteopathy and kinesiology practice. His love and passion for painting began in the spring of 2022, following a powerful encounter with his current mentor, Maestro Walton Zed. This collaboration sparked a passion that has grown stronger over time, compelling Cerciello to pursue this path as a way to express his soul. Cerciello has already had the opportunity to exhibit some of his works, such as in a group exhibition in the historical archive of Palazzo Allocca (Saviano) on 23/07/2022, at the group exhibition "outside of figuration" at the "museopossibile" in Nola on 22/12/2023 and in a solo exhibition at the "Caserta Nova" gallery in Caserta on 2/03/24.
