On March 27th, 20 years after his death, the city of Naples will commemorate Annalisa Durante, the young innocent victim of the Camorra killed in an ambush in Forcella.
The morning of events: 10:00 a.m. Concert by the "Annalisa Durante - Gli Archi di Napoli" string quartet and tuba maestro Gianmaria Strappati in the church of San Giorgio Maggiore. Prayers and meditations will follow.
At the end of the concert, a book will be placed in the Annalisa Library as a sign of commitment to combating violence. The twentieth anniversary theme is "Let's Be Free, Let's Be Music": a call to counter the culture of the Camorra with culture and education.
In the words of Don Tonino Palmese: "We are all called to become books and music for our young people, so that culture can make them free and responsible citizens, capable of choosing which side to take."
An initiative to engage citizens and make the Library a place of growth and hope. Giuseppe Perna said: "After 20 years of commitment, the time has come for everyone to take an active role."
The 20th Anniversary Box Set: A gift for those who have adopted the Library, containing "Annalisa's Lighthouse Library" created by students of the Felice Faccio Art School in Castellamonte.
