The Naples City Council has approved the proposed 2024-2026 budget. The document, proposed by Budget Councilor Pierpaolo Baretta, will now be submitted to the City Council for consideration.

The Budget focuses on several priorities:

Continuation of the ordinary and extraordinary maintenance program of municipal structures and infrastructures.
Continuation of the hiring plan to strengthen the municipal machine.
Further support for culture and tourism thanks to increased tourist tax revenue.

Among the salient results:

Reduction of the deficit by over 700 million euros.
Achievement of all the objectives set by the Pact for Naples.
Reduction of payment times from 170 to 90 days.
Extraordinary investment plan.

The Mayor Gaetano Manfredi commented: The approved budget outline gives an idea of the significant effort made to enable the city to address the challenges we faced. It is a budget that reduces the authority's deficit by over €700 million, achieving all the objectives set out in the Pact for Naples.

These results, combined with the policies adopted to improve tax collection and the ongoing redevelopment of the municipal system, allow us to look to the future with confidence to ensure increasingly efficient services for citizens and the many tourists who continue to flock to the city.

The Budget Councillor Pier Paolo Baretta ha aggiunto: "The full achievement of the objectives set by the Pact for Naples is a sign of the Municipality's potential financial stability. The reduction in payment terms from 170 to 90 days and the extraordinary investment plan are worthy of note."

The approval of the budget represents an important step for the future of Naples. The document charts the course for a more efficient, sustainable, and attractive city.
