In a large-scale operation conducted this morning in Napoli 30 arrests were carried out by the State Police and the Penitentiary Police on behalf of the local District Anti-Mafia Directorate.
All those affected by the precautionary order are accused of mafia-style association, extortion, drug trafficking, illegal possession of firearms, and improper use of communication devices by inmates.
The operation is the result of a detailed investigation coordinated by the Naples District Anti-Mafia Directorate, also conducted with wiretaps in the prisons of Napoli.
