The museum structure has chosen the project “Cardioprotected places of culture” an Auexede exclusive, to offer guarantees of immediate intervention in the event of Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
The Duca di Martina National Museum of Ceramics houses one of the largest Italian collections of decorative arts, including over six thousand works of Western and Eastern manufacture.
The rich collection of objects, collected in the second half of the nineteenth century by the Duke of Martina and donated to the city of Napoli at the beginning of the 900th century, happily reflects the climate of enthusiasm and renewed interest towards the so-called minor arts that spread in Europe at that time.
The Duca di Martina National Museum is spread over three levels: ground floor, basement and first floor. An impressive collection of artistic artefacts is masterfully displayed throughout the structure: glass, leather, coral, ivory and above all porcelain and majolica.
In such a prestigious facility, it was a must to pay particular attention to discretion in the presence of defibrillators.
The life-saving device installed was accompanied by a customized signage panel that does not distract the visitor's attention from the perception of the exhibition context. Furthermore, it was installed in a highly functional and design alarmed display case, precisely to make its presence pleasant for all visitors.
The cardioprotection project took into account not only the majestic museum structure but also the park that surrounds it, that of Villa Floridiana, which extends for 18 hectares in the hilly area of the city.
The park of Villa Floridiana is a scenic alternation of winding paths and shady groves, especially the camellia grove. Large areas of open meadows facing the gulf alternate, in a fascinating synthesis of geometric elements and perspective solutions.
From a landscape point of view, the forest of holm oaks, pines, plane trees, cedars and cypresses that have characterised the hillside for centuries, alternate with the English garden, with steps and cliffs, caves, rocks and fountains, naturalistic elements and buildings that create a suggestive picturesque whole, looking out towards the panorama of the Gulf of Naples, with Capri in the background.
Upon completion of the installation, Auxede offered the usual technical training to make all employees familiar and aware of the use of the AED.
The external semi-automatic defibrillators, available to the staff and everyone, are autonomous instruments.
They are very simple to use, because the rescuer is supported by the voice guide that indicates the steps to be taken. Furthermore, precisely because of the autonomy of the defibrillator in cardiac diagnosis, the rescuer is exempt from any liability (art.54 cp).
