The Naples State Police, on behalf of the Public Prosecutor at the Juvenile Court, executed a precautionary custody order establishing the provisional detention in IPM for a seventeen-year-old and a sixteen-year-old accused of the crime of attempted aggravated murder.

The provision summarizes the results of the investigations conducted by the Flying Squad in relation to the gunshot wounding of a sixteen-year-old that occurred on the evening of December 27, 2023 in Napoli, in Piazza Carlo III, Vicaria area.
On that occasion, the young man wounded in the right arm by a bullet was transported to the Ospedale dei Pellegrini, where he was hospitalized for a considerable period in the surgery department, since the type of ammunition used by the attacker was typically used for hunting, known as a “pellet” bullet, which shatters into many particles once it hits the target.
Medical personnel then performed delicate surgery on the victim to remove all ballistic fragments.

The investigations revealed that the incident was caused by a rivalry between groups of young people from different neighborhoods. In particular, there was a clash between young people from Borgo Sant'Antonio Abate, to which the victim belongs, and those from Rione Reggia, located near via Stadera in the Poggioreale neighborhood, on the border between the municipalities of Naples and Casoria.
