“Since January 2023, the first floor of our “prestigious” headquarters has been made unusable and closed to teaching activities following routine checks anti-seismic".
This is what the students of the Ipseoa Cavalcanti IPSEOA institute in Via Giovenale wrote in a protest note.
And then they explain: "The problem lay in the need to remove some false ceilings in beams and replace them with lightweight material compatible with school activities. To date it seems that the superintendency is blocking the start of the work, a decision for which the activities are carried out in a very precarious way without the laboratory and the reception room, forcing the students during the year to go to the San Giovanni a Teduccio site several times to use the missing laboratories, in addition the institute has not been able to further extend the registrations for the year 2024/2025 having the upper floor closed and unusable due to small spaces.
Please note that last school year the school was forced to attend lessons in morning and afternoon shifts, which created no small amount of inconvenience to the students' personal and family organizations.
We are waiting for a concrete and real answer as soon as possible so that the works can begin as soon as possible and return to normality with the usual enthusiasm and with the full use of all the spaces in the shortest possible time”.
