Man reported for keeping birds of protected species at home in Naples A 68-year-old man has been reported for keeping birds of protected species at home in Naples Napoli for the possession of several specimens of protected fauna, including goldfinches, a blue rock thrush, a bluethroat and two siskins.
The operation was conducted by the Carabinieri of the Naples mobile radio unit together with the LIPU, who also found two cage traps in his home in the Arenella district.
The man was charged with keeping protected wildlife and animal cruelty, while the animals were entrusted to the Federico II Wildlife Recovery Center, Department of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Naples, for necessary care.
