The manager of a well-known spritz shop has been arrested for sexual assault against an English tourist.
He had served her some drinks and then when the woman, under the influence of alcohol, had gone to the bathroom he had followed her and raped her.
And by order of the Public Prosecutor, the Carabinieri of the Naples Central Company arrested a 27-year-old Neapolitan, suspected of sexual assault against a young English tourist last July.
The precautionary measure was issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Napoli at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Naples – IV Section, competent for the protection of vulnerable groups, the investigation was conducted by pm Maria Angela Magariello.
The investigation, conducted by the Operations Unit of the Naples Central Company, in collaboration with the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office, was launched after the victim filed a complaint.
The investigation has uncovered numerous incriminating elements against the owner of a spritz bar in Naples' Decumani district. It's suspected that, after serving a young tourist a drink, the man followed her into the restaurant's bathroom and forced her to have sex.

The evidence collected by the Carabinieri, including the testimonies of the victim and other persons informed of the facts, together with photographic video material obtained thanks to the search for surveillance systems considered relevant, contributed to the decision of the investigating judge.
The investigation conducted by the Carabinieri of the RIS in Rome further supported the investigation. Tomorrow, the young man will appear before the investigating judge for preliminary hearing.
