The State Police conducted an anti-drug operation in Porta Capuana, which led to the arrest of an individual caught selling drugs. The officers of the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station acted after noticing a subject taking something from a container under a bench and handing it over to another person in exchange for money.
The police intervened promptly, arresting both the buyer, found in possession of the purchased drugs, and the seller, who had in his possession 3 packages of crack and 35 euros, the fruit of the criminal activity. In addition, a container was discovered under the bench containing 24 other packages of drugs of the same type, for a total weight of about 4 grams.
The seller, a 34-year-old Nigerian with a criminal record, was arrested for possession and supply of narcotics, while the buyer was fined for possession of drugs for personal use.
