The plot revolves around Ferdinando Quagliolo, a lottery player and manager of his own bank, whose peace is shattered when the soul of his father Saverio appears in a dream in his old house, rented to Mario Bertolini, Ferdinando's employee. Envy and convictions lead Ferdinando to claim a million-dollar win, but he must face the consequences of his actions and come to terms with them.
