The new piece by the composer and pianist will be presented for the first time in concert on Thursday 21 March at the Stazione Zoologica Anton Dhorn of the Darwin Dohrn Museum in Naples
"Linea 140," the new song by composer and pianist Luigi Esposito, is out now on all digital platforms. A video will follow soon. Released by independent label Apogeo Records, the single, featuring Luigi Esposito on piano, Emiliano Barrella on drums, Umberto Lepore on double bass, and vocals by Fabiana Martone, will be presented in concert on Thursday, March 21st at the Stazione Zoologica Anton Dhorn of the Darwin Dohrn Museum in Naples.
Fresh from the great acclaim he received after his first album “Portami a vedere il mare” and from his recent theatrical successes as pianist and musical director in Gianfranco Gallo's show, “Reginella… sono Libero”, Luigi Esposito takes, with his new song, an allegorical journey on the bus line destined for an important and panoramic area of Naples: Posillipo.

Ornella Vanoni, an icon of Italian music who influenced generations, has died at the age of 91.
"Line 140 – says Luigi - It's the story of afternoons that began punctually but I never knew when they would end. Time was diluted in waiting, spent watching old men play bocce, sipping coffee at the kiosk, chatting with others who, like me, were waiting for the bus. Some gestures became rituals, some faces became friends. And even though it was raining, the view of Posillipo was there to cheer me up. The cover, by photographer Diana De Luca, who oversees all my work, was created to allow the viewer and listener to identify with the artist's perspective as he journeys. "The clocks on Via Posillipo," the composer continues and concludes, "have no hands; time is a distant horizon; the man sitting at the bus stop next to me is, the next day, a friend. The surf only imitates a ticking sound."
Once again the musician's inspiring principle leads back to the sea.
