Cerciello Rega Murder: Second Trial for Americans Tomorrow

Murder of Vice Brigadier Mario Cerciello Rega tomorrow opening of the second appeal in the Court of Rome for Lee Elder Finnegan and Gabriele Natale Hjorth, the two Californian citizens accused of the murder that occurred in the Prati neighborhood in July 2019.

The Court of Cassation ordered a new second-degree trial for the two Americans, annulling the previous convictions and drawing attention to specific details of the case.

Elder's defense attorneys, Renato Borzone and Roberto Capra, spoke out on the need for the trial to finally reach a verdict that correctly reflects the dynamics of the crime.
