Former Argentine national footballer Paul Daniel Osvaldo shared a touching video on social media, in which she spoke openly about her battles with depression and addiction, appearing tearful and vulnerable in front of the audience: "I want to share some things about my life because I feel it's necessary."
"For some time now, I've been struggling with a deep depression that has led me to addictions: alcohol, drugs. The truth is, I feel like life is slipping away from me." Osvaldo admitted that he was undergoing psychiatric treatment and taking medications to deal with his illness. "I have a loss of self-esteem, depression and many times I return to my addictions, falling into self-destruction.", explained the 38-year-old.
The former footballer revealed that he lives in isolation, locked in his house, and struggles daily to find the strength to get out of bed. "I'm not going out, I don't care about getting out of bed", he confessed. "These bad addictions have only exacerbated my depression.", he added, hoping that his story can be a starting point for a path of healing and rebirth.
