The City of Ottaviano launched the initiative “K Game. The game of kindness” within the national project “Let's Build Kindness 2024”, with the Metropolitan City of Naples as the National Capital of Kindness 2024.
Promoted by Virginia Nappo's Department of Childhood Policies and Maddalena Massa's Department of Equal Opportunities, the project includes a kindness game and a competition titled "Kind is whoever does kindness," along with a meeting on Mother's Day to reflect on the importance of responsible communication between parents and children.
The game will take place in primary schools in the area, involving fourth and fifth grades, and consists of a version of the game of the goose that promotes metacognitive activities and linguistic enhancement for neurolinguistic reprogramming.
For a month, children will write down the “kind K actions” performed by themselves or their family members, ultimately rewarding the class with the most kind actions, but still recognizing all participants.
In parallel, the contest “Gentile è, chi il gentile fa” involves the compilation of a kindness diary by children, with the involvement of their families.
The project starts on March 8 and aims to promote kind behaviors as a positive habit in everyday life, as stated by Mayor Biagio Simonetti, who praised the originality and involvement of the project in encouraging kindness among young people and families.
