During an interview on La Vita in Diretta on Rai1, the Minister of Culture Gennaro Sangiulian announced the opening of the museums on the occasion of Easter and Easter Monday 2024, offering a wide range of exhibitions and proposals throughout Italy.
In particular, Sangiuliano mentioned the opening of the Palazzo Citterio in Milan on December 7, where the entire twentieth-century collection will be exhibited, thus doubling the size of the Pinacoteca di Brera.
A Napoli, work is underway to double the size of the National Archaeological Museum at the former Albergo dei Poveri, in order to make visible the numerous collections currently stored in the warehouses. In addition, the triple expansion of the Uffizi is planned, with the addition of new sites in the Medici villas of Careggi and Montelupo Fiorentino.
These initiatives aim to meet the expectations of Italian citizens and tourists, offering them the opportunity to access important works of art and historical artifacts during the Easter holidays.
