The Milanese investigation into the sale of the Milan to the RedBird fund, which has recently hit the headlines, has highlighted a series of doubts regarding the appropriateness of the sale price of the Rossoneri team. Milanese judicial sources have revealed that the club was formally acquired for approximately 1 billion and 200 million euros, a figure that has long raised doubts in the circles involved.

The ongoing investigation aims to clarify not only the price issue and the alleged transaction simulation, but also the motive behind these transactions. Law enforcement and public prosecutors are already examining the seized documents to identify the reasons behind this apparently controversial transaction.

The search documents reveal at least one potential reason why the Elliott fund may have faked the sale of AC Milan, maintaining covert control over the team. Investigators highlighted an alleged "conflict of interest" since the fund, in addition to owning AC Milan, appears to have significant influence over another French football club, Lille, which competes in the same European competitions. This situation would violate UEFA regulations, which prohibit a single entity from exercising control over multiple clubs participating in competitions.

The investigative hypothesis suggests that the fake sale may have been orchestrated to maintain control of both AC Milan and Lille, allowing Elliott to manage both clubs. Furthermore, according to the documentation, Elliott holds a €170 million "debt" to Lille through Callisto, which controls the French club.

Furthermore, through a "financing" of nearly €600 million to RedBird, the fund would have maintained control over AC Milan. Finally, doubts are raised about AC Milan's sale price, which in the football world has often been considered excessive compared to the club's true value, estimated at around €700 million.
