A tragic sequence of events in via Nilde Iotti, in the municipality of Pomigliano D'ArcoA car was discovered on fire, having been stolen from a robbery that had occurred a few days earlier in AfragolaBut what made this situation even more shocking was the discovery that the owner of the car, the 38-year-old Salvatore Esposito, was under house arrest and suffered serious burns, he is now at the end of his life.

Carabinieri from the Castello di Cisterna station responded quickly after the car caught fire, but discovered that the 38-year-old had been rushed to the hospital by emergency personnel with burns covering 118% of his body. Esposito is currently hospitalized in intensive care and fighting for his life.

The circumstances of the fire remain unclear, with the Carabinieri still working to determine the exact cause. However, further concern was raised by the discovery of weapons and drugs in Esposito's apartment during a subsequent search.

At his home, the Carabinieri found a Beretta pistol with the serial number removed, another modified pistol, various drugs including cocaine, marijuana, and hashish, and a number of firearms and dangerous objects, including rifles, knives, and full-face helmets. The seized material was subjected to ballistic and fingerprint tests.

Esposito was charged with a series of crimes, including receiving stolen property and escaping from house arrest. His son was also arrested for possession of illegal weapons and possession of drugs with intent to distribute, while his wife was remanded in custody.
