Nell’ambito dell’ultima riunione del Executive Cittadino di Italy Viva Pompei, held yesterday, an important step towards the cultural and social growth of our community was outlined. The Board of Directors is pleased to announce that, through the Council Group, it will be proposed to allocate some rooms of the prestigious Palazzo De Fusco for the reopening of the Municipal Library "Ludovico Pepe" which will return, after many years of waiting, to the city center, while, for the old headquarters of Casale Piscicelli, a redevelopment of the building will be required for the establishment on site of a Cultural HUB aimed at the associative realities of the territory.
The Municipal Library and the Casale Piscicelli will become inclusive cultural centers, intended for all age groups of different social and cultural backgrounds. Italia Viva firmly believes that culture is the foundation of a prosperous society; our commitment is aimed at reawakening the interest and participation of the Pompeian community through knowledge, education and discussion.
Furthermore, the Citizens' Board of Directors of Italia Viva wishes to inform the citizens of the imminent change of the Councilor in the Municipal Council of Pompeii, Dr. Marcello Lala, for reasons related to personal choices of a political nature, distant from our party. The latter will be replaced by an equally qualified and motivated figure.
