The call for participation in the eleventh edition of the national 'Amato Lamberti' Award, established by the Centro Studi Associazione Culturale, was published today 'Beloved Lamberti' chaired by Roselena Glielmo to ideally and concretely continue the work of the sociologist Amato Lamberti, an example of an intellectual who knew how to translate the results of his intense scholarly activity into anti-mafia political commitment.
The mission of the National Award 'Amato Lamberti' is to "contribute to training young scholars capable of developing analyses that advance the fight against organized crime, in Italy and around the world". The 2024 Call, as in previous editions, will award three prizes of 1.000 euros each for Master's theses and Doctoral theses that concern the topics of organized crime, criminal trafficking, environmental crimes, digital crime, corruption and illegal economies, victims of the mafia and violence, also conducted with ethnographic methods and/or with the aid of audiovisual tools.
Limited Master's and Doctoral theses, prepared in any Italian University or, for equivalent levels, foreign, may be proposed. Only theses discussed in the last three years (from 2021 onwards) in Italian and English and which have not already been proposed in previous editions of the Lamberti Prize will be accepted. Participants must send the work by 06 May 2024, exclusively, in PDF format via email to segr.associazioneamatolamberti@gmail.com specifying that the work competes for the "Premio Nazionale Amato Lamberti".
The awarding of the Prize will be decided by the Scientific Commission, by the President of the 'Amato Lamberti' Association, Roselena Glielmo, by the President of the National Prize Nino Daniele and by the Honorary President Franco Roberti, former National Anti-Mafia Prosecutor. The proclamation of the winner and the delivery of the prize will take place in a public session in Naples, on 19 June 2024. In addition to the National Prize, the Study Center Cultural Association 'Amato Lamberti' will organize a series of cultural and training events that will touch various territories of the Metropolitan City of Naples.
