Today, on the occasion of "Father's Day," some isolated thunderstorms are expected along the Adriatic coast and in the south, but overall the weather will improve. Rising atmospheric pressure from North Africa will wash away the last of the morning's rains, with isolated thunderstorms forecast in the afternoon over the southern mountainous areas.
Stable weather is expected to prevail over Italy at least until Thursday, March 21st, with a significant increase in maximum temperatures. With the arrival of spring, expected on Wednesday, March 20th, a brief period of sunny weather is expected.
However, starting from the night between Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd, an unstable air mass coming from the Balkans could cause temporary rain in the southern part of the country.

During the Palm weekend, snow is expected to return up to 900 meters above sea level in the central regions, but at the moment this is only an uncertain meteorological trend. There are signs of a possible sudden change in weather conditions, with the risk of a sudden drop in temperatures and the return of snowfall on the reliefs.
However, it's important to remember that long-term forecasts, especially during March, are subject to change. In short, a brief period of improvement will likely be followed by a return of severe weather, possibly with a wintery aftertaste, just three days before the start of spring.
