A motorist was robbed live on the Asse Mediano, near the Piscinola-Scampia exit, on Thursday evening.
A motorcycle and a scooter pulled alongside a car stuck in traffic. After the driver initially resisted, the scooter's passenger got out of the vehicle and approached the victim's car, smashing the window with a gun.
At that point, the driver of the car tried to fight off the robbers, but found himself helpless in the face of traffic congestion.
The robbery was recorded live by another driver present at the scene, through the video camera installed on his car.

"I would like to report yet another violent theft that occurred on the Asse Mediano. I was near the Piscinola exit. Scampia And I documented everything with the dashcam. I even wrote down the robbers' license plates.", the man said, addressing the deputy of the Green-Left alliance Francesco Emilio Borrelli.
"These criminals are becoming more and more dangerous and violent, and sooner or later a tragedy could occur.", said Borrelli. "We filed a complaint, providing law enforcement with the license plate numbers provided by the witness. We hope they will be identified as soon as possible.
We've long been calling for continued law enforcement action with motorcycle patrols to combat this phenomenon, but currently we see no sign of any strong preventative action. Must motorists continue to be victims of these individuals and live in terror?
