It happened in Via Fratelli Bandiera, in the populous Sant'Eustachio neighborhood in the eastern part of the city.
The shots, at least six, were fired last night at the entrance door of a building. This morning the police officers of the Flying Squad of the Salerno Police Headquarters and the Scientific Police intervened on the scene and found 6 shell casings.
Investigations are underway to shed light on the circumstances and causes of the incident. Officers are seeking useful footage from public and private video surveillance cameras in the area. They are also trying to determine who the message was addressed to.
