NOn Monday 22 February, a team of Firefighters was called to intervene to rescue a young American citizen, presumably around 22 years old, involved in an accident during a daring jump with a pseudo-parachute, which appears to have taken off from Agerola and then unexpectedly fell into the suggestive scenery of the Furore fjord.
The helicopter of the flight department of the Salerno Fire Brigade was immediately deployed to the site of the accident, but unfortunately, due to technical complications related to the particular conformation of the terrain and the high altitude of the point of fall, it was unable to proceed with the recovery operation of the unfortunate man.
Consequently, the Maiori Fire Department team took charge of the situation, transferring the young man to a medical facility located in a safe area. The intent was to facilitate the subsequent recovery by a Guardia di Finanza dinghy, charged with taking the patient to a more suitable medical facility for the necessary medical evaluations and necessary care.
