Aniello Ambrosio, a 71-year-old pensioner who disappeared on February 20, was found lifeless this afternoon in a well in St. Joseph Vesuvius, in the province of Naples.
The body was recovered by firefighters and is now in the custody of the magistrate on duty at the Nola Public Prosecutor's Office for an autopsy.
The search for Aniello Ambrosio had ended three days after his disappearance, but today, unfortunately, a disturbing discovery was made.
The clothes worn by the pensioner allowed his family to recognize him on the spot. The agents of the San Giuseppe Vesuviano police station are investigating the matter to understand how he ended up in that well.
