The notorious brawl between mothers at the entrance to a nursery school in Scampia led to all seven mothers being reported by the Carabinieri. It all started in a WhatsApp group created by the mothers to organize their participation in school activities. However, one of them decided to change the visiting day without consulting the others, sparking a heated argument.
The situation escalated when the two “factions” met at the children’s exit. Verbal protests gave way to insults and then to beatings, under the incredulous eyes of those present.
The Carabinieri, who intervened following a tip-off, identified the seven women involved thanks to the images from a surveillance camera. The investigation is continuing to verify the possible involvement of other people.
The episode has sparked outrage in the Scampia community, which is working to free itself from a negative reputation. Violence, in any context, is never the answer and the mothers involved in this brawl should be an example for their children.
