The Guardia di Finanza of the Provincial Command of Salerno seized almost 8 kilos of contraband cigarettes, held for sale by an individual of African nationality.
The operation was initiated by the financial police of the Nocera Inferiore Company during a routine roadside check in Angri of a vehicle driven by the man, who was already known to the authorities for numerous cases of smuggling of foreign manufactured tobacco.
Consequently, the military decided to extend the control to the foreigner's residence, located in the municipality of Scafati, where they found 380 packets of cigarettes of well-known brands, including Marlboro, Winston, Chesterfield, Merit, Philip Morris, ready to be illegally put on sale.
