The Super League is gaining traction, according to a survey conducted by French institute Opinion Way for A22 Sports, the company created to support the creation of the football Super League. The survey involved a diverse group of 6500 fans aged 15 and over in eight European countries. The results show that 72% of football fans from Italy, Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom are in favour of creating a Super League.
Spain stands out as the most inclined nation, with 84% support, but Italians have also expressed their support largely, with 80%. Young people between 15 and 24 show particular interest, with 86% in favor of the European Super League proposal.
In Italy, 89% of respondents between 18 and 24 and 93% between 25 and 34 are in favor. The reasons behind this support focus on the perception of the Super League as a positive idea, offering an “innovative format” and a fairer and more exciting competition than the current system.
