“With the disappearance of Don Pepe, the territorial landscape has changed radically.
Today young people feel free, while in the past they were even afraid to pronounce the word camorra. His sacrifice brought a breath of fresh air.”These are the words of Marisa, sister of Don Peppe Diana, who spoke to LaPresse on the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of the Camorra murder in Casal di Principe, in the province of Caserta.
“I would like to tell young people to continue on the path traced by Don Peppe, embracing the values for which he fought and for which he lost his life. They must be free, without having to face obstacles or oppression,” added Marisa.
“It is important that young people keep my brother’s memory alive through their commitment; otherwise, all this would be in vain. As relatives of innocent victims, we go to schools to talk to the kids, because we do not want similar tragedies to happen again. The message my brother left us is one of peace, love and freedom.”
