The general manager of the Ruggi hospital company Salerno, Vincenzo D'Amato, expressed surprise regarding the suspension of the surgeon and his team.
This measure follows an investigation by the Salerno Prosecutor's Office into the death of a patient undergoing surgery. The order imposes precautionary measures that prohibit the medical team from practicing for a period ranging from 6 to 12 months.
The general manager hopes that the doctors under investigation can clarify their position as soon as possible and contribute to the ongoing investigations. The entire affair is currently under investigation and hopefully it can be resolved as quickly as possible.
D'Amato also emphasizes that this situation will have inevitable repercussions on the cardiac surgery activities of the hospital, which is a nationally important facility frequented by patients from various areas.
The situation is still evolving and further developments are expected regarding the incident that led to the suspension of the medical team.
