A tragedy occurred in Taurisano, in the province of Lecce, where a 50-year-old woman of Polish origin was brutally stabbed to death in the afternoon.

The perpetrator of the crime was found to be the victim's husband, a 56-year-old Italian man, who turned himself in to the police shortly after the incident.
The murder occurred during an argument, also causing the injury of a neighbor, albeit slightly. The Flying Squad of the Police Headquarters is conducting the investigations on the case.
Although the husband and wife were separated, there are currently no reports of a conflictual past between them. The local community is in shock over this tragic event that has shattered the tranquility of the neighborhood.
