In the provinces of Caserta In Naples, a coordinated action led to the reporting of eight people and the seizure of seven businesses, two vans containing various types of waste, and two contaminated areas exceeding 5000 square meters.
Law enforcement and the Army have collaborated in operations called "Action Day" to combat environmental crime in the Land of Fires. These extraordinary operations are part of a plan developed by the Prefectures and Police Headquarters of Naples and Caserta, with the support of the Steering Committee appointed by the Minister of the Interior to combat illegal fires.

Control activities have been focused especially on small businesses, such as mechanical workshops, for almost two years. The interventions have involved several municipalities in the Naples and Caserta areas, such as Cercola, Volla, Cardito, Caivano, Crispano in Naples and Parete, Trentola Ducenta, San Marcellino, Frignano, Casaluce, San Felice a Cancello, Arienzo in Caserta.
Additionally, roadblock operations have been organized to monitor vehicular traffic. These control actions aim to actively counter the environmental devastation caused by illegal waste management in the region known as the Land of Fires.
