"Let's defend Vida's honor and restore dignity to her memory.": the appeal for the young Iranian student.
Ahmad Bahramzadeh, 28 year old Iranian and friend of Life Shahvalad, the 21 year old Iranian student who died in Napoli together with the boyfriend Vincenzo Nocerino, launches a heartfelt appeal: "Let's save Vida's honor and restore her dignity."
On March 17, a news report from a Iranian TV described Vida as a young woman of "easy morals", deeply hurting the victim's family. Vida's family, already devastated by the tragedy, now faces further suffering due to these false and offensive descriptions.
Vida's parents still have not been able to obtain the transfer of her body back to their homeland due to the stop imposed by the Iranian morality police.
Ahmad, Alfred (Vincenzo's father) and the deputy Francesco Emilio Borrelli- as reported by Il Mattino - they ask to stop the leaks of false news and to restore dignity to Vida's memory.
A young woman with a bright future. Vida was a model student who came to Italy to pursue her dreams. She was respected and appreciated by all who knew her. Her death is an immense tragedy, made worse by the unfounded accusations that denigrate her.
An appeal to the Iranian authorities
Ahmad, supported by Alfredo, Vincenzo's father, launched an SOS via Radio Marte, with the help of Gianni Simioli and MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli. Ahmad expressed his grief, saying: "She was like a daughter to me. When I found them, they were dressed. It's unfair that she has been smeared and denigrated by the press in her own country. Her family is now experiencing a tragedy within a tragedy; let's help them."

Iran International news, starting at minute 21.50:XNUMX, reported the news, calling Vida "a student who suffocated to death in Naples" along with her boyfriend, adding that the two "were half-naked" and that "they were probably about to have sexual intercourse, but due to carbon monoxide poisoning they lost consciousness and then died."
This portrayal of events has been contested by Vida's family as untrue. Ahmad explained: "We're talking about a press that opposes the Iranian government. The journalist exposed the facts in the wrong way, without taking into account that such an image of women is unacceptable in Iran."
Vida had arrived in Italy in December 2022 to study computer science at the Vanvitelli University in Caserta and had recently moved to Naples. Borrelli and Simioli responded to Ahmad and Alfredo's appeal, emphasizing the love between Vincenzo and Vida and her integrity as a respected student.
They asked to put an end to the unverified leaks, which seem only harmful gossip to reconstruct the truth of the facts. Borrelli announced that he will ask the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide support to explain to the Iranian authorities the truth of what happened.
Vida's family wishes only to grieve and celebrate their daughter's memory. Let's not let her memory be tarnished.
