It's time to step back in time and enjoy the breathtaking views of Campania's most beautiful railway lines, thanks to the return of historic trains. This year, there will be 65 scheduled journeys, offering a total of over 13.000 seats for rail travel enthusiasts.
One of the most appreciated features of the historic trains is the possibility of transporting your bicycle for free, thanks to the specially equipped historic luggage compartments. The 2024 program includes itineraries that have been very successful in previous editions.

The Reggia Express departs from Naples Central and arrives directly in front of the entrance to the Reggia di Caserta, the sumptuous Bourbon royal palace of the Kingdom of Naples. The first ride is scheduled for Saturday, May 11.

Furthermore, the itineraries from Naples to Fragneto Monforte have been confirmed for the International Hot Air Balloon Festival and from Naples to Pietrelcina to commemorate the anniversary of the death of San Pio, crossing the suggestive Ferrovia del Sannio, a tourist line managed by the FS Foundation.
The initiative, now in its ninth edition, is promoted by the Campania Region, which has invested over 2,1 million euros in the three-year period 2022-2025 to offer services dedicated to residents and tourists. The implementation is managed by the Campania Mobility, Infrastructure and Networks Agency (ACaMIR), in collaboration with the Fondazione Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane and FS Treni Turistici Italiani.
Tickets for travel on historic trains in Campania will be available from April 27 on all Trenitalia sales channels, including ticket offices, the mobile application and the official website.
