A couple stole jewelry worth nearly 10 thousand euros from a jewelry store di Caserta, after distracting the owner.
Seven months after the theft, State Police identified the two criminals: a man and a woman, who were respectively notified of a measure of house arrest and another of the obligation to remain in their place of residence.
The robbery took place in September 2023; from the investigations conducted by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Santa Maria Capua Vetere and the Flying Squad, it emerged that the couple entered the jewelry store in the center of Caserta, and while the woman distracted the jeweler with a series of questions about the various jewels, the man took possession of several gold jewelry.
The two then fled. Investigators used images from surveillance cameras, as well as interviews with the jewelry store owner and other witnesses, to identify those responsible for the theft.
