The preliminary investigations judge Gabriella Logozzo has sentenced 370 defendants to sentences amounting to a total of approximately 26 years in prison. Sorianiello clan, at the end of a trial held with the abbreviated procedure in the bunker courtroom of the Poggioreale prison in Naples.
For the first time, the sentence officially recognizes the existence of a Camorra organization called the Sorianiello clan, active in drug dealing between the Traiano district and the neighborhood soccavo in Naples.
The heaviest sentences were inflicted on the founders of the clan, Alfredo Sorianiello, the boss said the blond, and to his brother-in-law Joseph Mazzaccaro, both sentenced to 20 years in prison.
The continuation of the crime against was recognized Simone Cimarelli (19 years and 7 months), Raphael Caprio (20 years) e Carmine Fenderico (20 years) for the murder of Desmond Oviamwonyi and the attempted murder of Morris Joe Iadhosa, which occurred in Castel Volturno on September 10, 2020.

The two were killed during a punitive raid for the theft of a drug shipment worth 40 euros from the "della 99" drug dealing center in the Traiano district.
The Naples District Anti-Mafia Directorate (prosecutors Sepe and Prisco) found the crimes of criminal conspiracy for the purpose of drug dealing, possession of weapons by the clan, used for armed surveillance of drug dealing areas and for "stese" (firearm raids fired with the aim of asserting dominance over the territory).
The trial was held under the abbreviated procedure, which provides for a reduced sentence in exchange for a confession. The defendants' defense attorneys, including Luca Mottola, Claudio D'Avino, Salvatore Landolfi, Bruno Carafa, Salvatore Impraddice, Giovanni Esposito Fariello, Carmela Esposito, and Domenico Dello Iacono, have contested the charges and announced their intention to appeal.
A hard blow to the Camorra
The sentence represents a severe blow to the Camorra and drug trafficking in western Naples. The operation to dismantle the Sorianiello clan is the result of a long and complex investigation conducted by the District Anti-Mafia Directorate and the State Police.
