From September 26th to 28th, the great "archaeo-food" event will feature cultural visits, tastings, and free cooking classes.

The XVII edition of Malazè is scheduled from 26 to 28 September, which this year becomes “Off”, with events, tastings of typical products and wines, cooking classes, organized in vineyards, archaeological sites, community gardens, cellars, restaurants, villas, farms, large hotels open to the public, in the municipalities of Pozzuoli, Bacoli, Monte di Procida, Quarto, Naples and the island of Procida.
"Malazè was born in 2006 to create a system - comments the creator Rosario Mattera - and over the years it has grown exponentially, becoming a meeting and discussion place, which has united thousands of people, with the common intent of enhancing and promoting the Campi Flegrei. The union generates incredible things and we think we have succeeded. People from all over Italy and abroad flock to participate in our events, confirming how the Phlegraean territory is a great tourist attraction. This Festival - Lab is a project promoted by "Campi Flegrei Active" in partnership with APS Malazè Laboratorio di Comunità".
On display are typical products: blue fish, mussels, cannellini tomatoes, grass peas, mandarins, Procida lemons, Falanghina, Piedirosso Flegrei and many others, the cuisine, the most suggestive places, with their artistic, archaeological and environmental heritage. The event is part of the project "Valorizzazione del Turismo Eno Gastronomico" of the Regional Agency for Tourism of Campania and is co-financed by the Development and Cohesion Plan of the Campania Region.
"Starting with the 2024 edition, Malazè will be organized in collaboration with "Campi Flegrei Active," the Destination Management project involving Phlegraean Fields tourism operators ," explains Director Giulio Gambardella. " Malazè is part of our community, and actively participating in this important initiative allows us to further improve the quality of tourism and beyond. Over the years, the event has become a great laboratory of ideas and local innovation."
The goal is always to bring as many people as possible closer to both the local food and wine tradition and to the knowledge of large and small monuments, history, myths and legends.
"Food and wine, hospitality, and cultural heritage are key factors in the country's tourism development ," reiterates Roberto Laringe, President of the Federalberghi Campi Flegrei. " We are deploying resources and investments to improve the area's tourism services and create an increasingly integrated offering, through important initiatives promoting the Campi Flegrei destination like Malazè. To offer tourists the best, we need to network, but also standardize our offerings under a quality brand and with high standards, which everyone must achieve."
The first broadcast event, the preview of “Malazé Off”, came to life with the evocative “Nun vac 'e press tour”, which started with a visit to the Baia Submerged Archaeological Park aboard Iris, the glass-keeled boat by Lomar Dreams, accompanied by a breakfast of jams and mandarin juices by Spicchi Flegrei, continued with a visit to the Cantine del Mare Anfiteatro vineyard for a tasting of DOC Camp Flegrei wines, lunch at “Al Chiar di Luna” to taste dishes prepared with blue fish, mussels from the Phlegraean Fields, a guided tour of the Cuma Archaeological Park accompanied by guides from Turismo e Servizi, and a closing at the Stufe di Nerone spa.
