Two young Moroccans, aged 24 and 21, were arrested by the Carabinieri of marcianise after attempting to steal clothing from a shop in the city's shopping park.
The events took place yesterday evening, shortly before the shops closed. The two, already known to the police, were surprised by security personnel while they were stealing some items of clothing.
When the Carabinieri arrived, the two attempted to escape and one of them struck a security guard with a slash in the hand, wounding him. The injured man was rescued by 118 and is not in danger of life.
The Carabinieri disarmed the young man and searched the two arrested, finding burglary tools, a kitchen knife and 2,5 grams of hashish. The stolen goods were recovered and returned to the owner of the shop.
The two Moroccans, both of whom have no fixed abode in Italy, will have to answer for theft, aggravated personal injury, resisting a public official and damage. They were taken to the barracks and detained at the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison.
