The famous stylist Roberto Cavalli passed away at Florence at the age of 83 following a long illness.

He left behind six children, the youngest of whom, Giorgio, is just over a year old. His partner, Sandra, was at his side in the last hours, as she has been for the last fifteen years.
Sandra Bergman Nilsson, 38, previously voted the most beautiful woman in her native Sweden, gave Cavalli his sixth child just over a year ago.
The boy was named after Cavalli's father, who was killed by the Nazis in a reprisal in Cavriglia, Arezzo, in 1944 when Cavalli was just three years old. Cavalli was born in Florence on November 15, 1940.
