The State Police arrested a 19-year-old for aggravated theft following the fraud perpetrated against an elderly couple in a house near National Square.
The officers of the Office of General Prevention and Public Aid of the Naples Police Headquarters intervened after being called for a report of elderly people in difficulty.
A couple said they were tricked by an individual who pretended to be their son into giving them cash for an alleged fine. The man stole over €96 and €15 worth of jewelry.
The police officers of the Montecalvario Police Station were able to identify and arrest the man responsible for the theft shortly after thanks to the descriptions provided and the images from the surveillance cameras.
The man was found with money and cell phones in his possession.
The 18-year-old Neapolitan with a criminal record for property crimes was arrested and charged with aggravated theft in a home.
