Concerts for Federico: Thursday, May 2nd in Naples
The Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti presents "Mediterranean Blues, from Scarlatti to Pino Daniele," a new musical event taking place on May 2nd at 7:00 PM at the Monte Sant'Angelo University Complex in Naples. This concert is the third in the 2024 edition of Concerts for Federico, organized in collaboration with the Federico II University of Naples as part of F2 Cultura. The aim of this initiative is to bring great music to academic spaces, celebrating the 800th anniversary of the University of Federico II.
A unique fusion of Classical, Jazz and Pop
The event “Mediterranean Blues” will propose an unprecedented fusion of different musical genres, uniting the voice of the Symphony Orchestra with the Jazz quartet to give life to a performance that ranges from the classical Neapolitan music of Alessandro and Domenico Scarlatti to the most modern compositions. Maestro Bruno Persico, pianist and conductor, will lead the orchestra on a journey that mixes classical forms with jazz improvisations, creating a unique experience for the audience.
