This afternoon's match at the Romeo Menti stadium in Castellammare di Stabia between Juve Stabia and Picerno will be a special one.
For the first time in football, the winners of the championship (in this case Group C of Serie C) will be honoured first by their opponents, with Lucanian side Az Picerno who, thanks to an idea from general manager Vincenzo Greco, decided to create a commemorative shirt with the words “semBrava impossibile” written on it, which the players will wear for the match against Juve Stabia.
Yesterday, Juve Stabia coach Guido Pagliuca wanted to thank the Picerno club: “It's a wonderful thing that does honour to a club that is doing very well, and that is growing on the national scene”.
In the meantime, after today's party, football is not going to the attic in Castellammare because the draw for the Super Cup is expected on Monday. Together with Juve Stabia there are the two teams that won groups A and B of Serie C, namely Mantova and Cesena.
The top two teams will emerge from the draw and will face each other on May 5th.
