The transfer market is always full of surprises and twists, and this time is no exception. According to “As”, Paris Saint-Germain has set its sights on Victor Osimhen, a Nigerian striker from Napoli, as a possible replacement for Kylian Mbappe, destined to leave the Parisian club on a free transfer at the end of the season to join Real Madrid.
The choice to focus on Osimhen is not a coincidence: the 25-year-old striker has already demonstrated his value in Serie A, and his performances with Napoli have attracted the attention of the Parisian directors. This negotiation is also favoured by the presence of Luis Campos, consultant of the psg and a key figure in Osimhen's transfer to Lille in the past, before selling him back to Napoli for a considerable sum, a whopping €70 million.
Now, Osimhen's value has increased further and it is estimated that his transfer fee could be worth much more than his transfer to Napoli. However, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis does not seem willing to sit down at the negotiating table for less than 100 million euros.
But PSG has an important card to play: Mbappè's departure could free up a considerable sum, around 150 million euros per season between salary and bonuses, which could be reinvested to secure Osimhen. However, before proceeding with the purchase, the Parisian club will have to make more space in attack, considering that the squad already includes Goncalo Ramos and Kolo Muani, both willing to stay in Paris.
Precisely for this reason, the name of Liverpool's Luis Diaz has been circulated as a possible alternative in the event that the negotiations for Osimhen were to become complicated. The summer market therefore promises to be full of interesting moves and moves, and the fate of Mbappé and Osimhen seems to be at the centre of all attention.
