The Teatro Cilea in Naples presents the highlight of the 2023-2024 theater season, with Serena Autieri starring in “La Sciantosa,” a one-woman show on stage from April 18 to 21.

A tribute to the Neapolitan tradition

In this extraordinary show, Serena Autieri performs iconic songs from the Neapolitan tradition such as “Come facette mammeta”, “I' te vurria vasà”, and “A tazz' e cafè”. The text was written by Vicenzo Incenzo and the direction is by Gino Landi, while Enzo Campagnoli takes care of the orchestral direction.

An exciting journey into the Naples of the past

In “La Sciantosa”, Autieri brings to life the figure of Elvira Donnarumma, known as “'a capinera napulitana”, a nonconformist figure beloved by audiences in the early 900s. The show represents an immersion in the atmosphere of the café chantants of a bygone era, with a repertoire that ranges from the most well-known classics to hidden gems, offering the audience a unique and engaging experience.
