'Terra', the concept album by the band Artikè

“Terra!” is a concept album, a sound project that explores the mystery of existence.

It is the observation of life, in its incoherent details, in its surprises, to learn to live with healthy detachment.

Every life is a dance. Every life is a cycle. It is a timeless circle, which renews itself through its elements, wood, fire, earth, metal and water; it renews itself through the seasons, the solstices and equinoxes, through the ages, the flavors, the emotions.

All lives are the same and singular, repetitive and unique: cycles, movements, games of cause and effect, matter, elements that combine and recombine infinite times. In a second. Forever.

Life is when we touch “Earth!”, like the shipwrecked man after days of storms.

A story born in the early 2000s, which saw the bond of friendship between its members grow in music.

The Artikè group was born as an indie rock band made up of 6 musicians and between 2002 and 2004 it came to the attention of critics by obtaining some mentions in musical competitions, such as Premio Pavanello (TN), Premio Poiesis (Monza), Forette Festival (VR), Bagnolo Live (VR), Rock Targato Italia.

Then comes a period of reflection, linked to personal life events, which causes the group's artistic activity to pause, until the ever-changing circumstances reawaken the desire to resume that path, made of meetings, exchanges, friendships, sonic exploration, music and harmony.

The new look of Artikè, therefore, since 2019 decides to be based on duality, in a shared artistic path.

In poetry, depth, philosophy, reflection. In music, improvisation, expression, emotion. These are now the two souls of Artikè, which meet, influence each other, and exist only together, one within the other.

The band also comprises two members: Elisa (vocals, guitar) and Leonardo (violin and keyboard), who have shared a deep friendship for years and a passion for the creative development of poetic and musical languages.

The music, original, sees on one hand the activity of recording in the studio and on the other the natural placement in the live dimension.

The 2024 album “Terra!” is a concept album inspired by the poetry of W. Szymborska.

Artikè's shows see the fusion of the sounds of acoustic instruments and their digital processing, music and theatre, tradition and the desire to experiment.

A succession of ever-changing, magical and unrepeatable atmospheres.
