Saturday 4 May at 19.00 pm in concert at the Teatro Area Nord (Via Nuova dietro la vigna, 20) in Naples.
SANTO SUD – RESTITUITO is an unpublished performance created for the Teatro Area Nord which hosted the artistic residency for the creation of the show in February 2024. The theatrical concert SANTO SUD tells the story of a man and his love for his city. A city that is the South, a gateway to hell, but also heaven and testimony to the existence of God through its beauties. A mother city, lover, friend, sister that, as in every relationship, is also capable of disappointing, hurting, hurting and leaving in the heart only the desire to move away, in search of new spiritual stimuli, new faces, new colors.
The protagonist, after singing about his love for his city and the pain that this entails, will understand that the journey never ends. It is a continuous return to the starting point, to when one falls in love for the first time, always in search of one's own Holy South. Holiness, the sacred, is something that is perceived as high, almost unattainable. The South, on the other hand, is always indicated as something that starts from the bottom, that is down, at the bottom, like the lava of a volcano. The individual, being in the middle, can make choices towards one direction or the other. The HOLY SOUTH is the meeting point between these two extremes.
The Teatro Area Nord can be reached with a free shuttle service upon reservation provided by the Municipality of Naples.
