The Naples Flying Squad has put an end to the escape of two individuals wanted by European authorities, making two arrests in a few hours against the recipients of European arrest warrants. In the first episode, which occurred yesterday afternoon, the Squad's agents provisionally arrested a 79-year-old man living in Torre del Greco
The man was wanted by the French authorities for a series of sexual violence crimes committed between 2010 and 2015 in Torre del Greco, as well as in Brié and Angonnes in France, in the period between 1998 and 2022. In the second operation, which took place this morning, the Naples Flying Squad and the San Ferdinando police station arrested a 21-year-old Neapolitan citizen.
The man was wanted by German authorities for his alleged involvement in an aggravated robbery committed in Frankfurt in September 2023. Both arrested individuals were detained pending extradition proceedings, which will see them face justice in the countries that wanted them.
