“We can’t stand wild boars anymore. We are now the guests and they are the owners of the territory. They destroy crops, they come in front of our houses, they walk around the center.
In implementation of the resolution of the Regional Council of Campania n. 84/2024, we have asked to implement in San Bartolomeo an extraordinary plan for the capture and slaughter of wild boars. And so it will be, in a very short time”.
The mayor of made this known San Bartolomeo in Galdo, Carmine Agostinelli. “Before, it wasn’t possible. Now, yes, the law allows it. It’s not easy, but it can be done! I thank the Campania Region for having met, together with me and my administration, this morning, in the council chamber, a large representation of farmers and hunters.
The culling can be carried out, even in the reserve, by qualified selective hunters registered in the national list of bioregulators. In San Bartolomeo we have more than 10 already trained and qualified, who, in the next few days, with a specific decree, will be authorised by the Campania region to begin the extraordinary demolitions which could begin, if all goes well, as early as Saturday 25 May”.
